Richard Perkins
Director

Richard Perkins has extensive experience in commercial property development and management. He has a vocational property qualification in Estate Management, established and manages a commercial property consultancy that is actively involved in the Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft sub-region.

Richard is Immediate Past President of Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber of Commerce, Chair of Waveney Economic Partnership, Director of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Director of Suffolk Development Agency, Vice-Chair of Lowestoft College Corporation, Board Member of Waveney Sunrise Scheme Strategy (Management) Group and Director & Trustee of Waveney Community Forum.

His formative years were spent in Surrey and Sussex, although he has lived in East Anglia for more than 20 years - the last 18 in Lowestoft - and has strong family connections in Norfolk.

His other interests include Victorian & Georgian architecture, architectural photography, hill and distance walking, cycling and the environment.

Personal statement:
“I have developed a very strong view of how the sub-region and particularly Lowestoft should be developing and evolving over the next 10-15 years. The economic and regeneration potential of the sub-region is substantial and the URC will be the principal catalyst in raising the awareness and interest in the area, encouraging new inward investment and securing new property led development that will provide for a sustainable future for all of us who live and work in the sub-region.”
