Jason Wells
Project Manager

Prior to joining 1st East Jason worked on a number of significant capital property/regeneration projects for the East of England Development Agency (EEDA); as Regeneration Project Manager for East Norwich, (seconded to the Greater Norwich Development Partnership) and on a number of projects in the Thames Gateway.

He started his career as a trainee surveyor with RG Carter before studying at the University of Aberdeen where he gained an honours degree in Land Economics. After completing his degree Jason gained valuable property experience with JSM Property Management in Norwich and a leading Housing Association before joining EEDA in 2000.

Whilst at EEDA he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (the first in the country to do so whilst working for a Regional Development Agency) focussing on economic development and regeneration and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Personal statement:
"Earlier in my career I enjoyed working on a number of physical development and area based projects in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft with a variety of project partners. Since then I have been developing my skills and experience across a range of projects and locations. I can see and feel the positive regeneration developments in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft in recent times, and it is a very exciting time for me to return to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft - places I have regarded fondly since my childhood, and to be able to add my contribution to that continuing work. I am relishing the opportunity to work for 1st East and its partners and I will, with enthusiasm and commitment, do my utmost to make a real, positive contribution to the ongoing development and delivery of key projects to contribute to the economic development of the two towns."
