Each year there are more than 5 million visitors to Great Yarmouth and just under 4 million to the Waveney district, bringing in almost £700 million to the local economy.
Seajacks, which is based in Great Yarmouth, is to invest in its third self-propelled jackup vessel.
The jackups are designed specifically to service the installation of wind farms at sea, as well as servicing the oil and gas sector.
The new ship will be called Seajacks Zaratan and will join its sister ships Seajacks Kraken and Seajacks Leviathan.
In an article in the Yarmouth Mercury, Blair Ainslie, managing director of Seajacks, said: We are very excited to announce the construction of Zaratan and look forward to providing this new generation of purpose built vessels to our clients.
"These vessels will facilitate faster and more efficient installation of turbines and foundations offshore, and establish us as one of the major contractors in this growth industry."
